As part of the revitalization of Phoenixville, PA, the Phoenixville Area Economic Development Corporation (PAEDCO) undertook the renovation of the 115-year-old Foundry, the last remaining vestige of the Phoenix Iron and Steel Company. The Foundry eventually will house the Schuylkill Valley Visitor Center, a special events venue and other uses.
For PAEDCO, Remington Group, now Avison Young, conducted a highest and best use analysis for the facility and oversaw Phases I and II of this publicly funded, multiple-prime design and construction effort.
- Oversight of Highest & Best Use Analysis
- Oversight of Design
- Oversight of Construction
- Close-out Management
After the first two phases were completed on time and on budget, PAEDCO sold the Foundry to a private developer to complete the renovation effort.
