Storm Water Legislation on the Horizon

With a 49-1 vote, the Pennsylvania Senate has passed an amendment that would authorize local municipalities to form their own storm water management authorities.

In theory, this allows municipalities to join up to manage issues that cross town or city boundaries, which is a far better way to manage storm water. What is unclear is what our municipalities will do with this new opportunity. This will take time to play out so we are unlikely to understand the impacts to local regulations and projects.
